The only steroid that we cannot find a standard

We cannot analyze protein based hormones,

this time, but are working towards an HPLC
ES-MS detector that will probably
be able to later.
To
Test for Macronutrients we use a test called
a Proximate Analysis which
test the following: protein, arbohydrates,
ash, moisture, and total fat.
Additional tests for total sugars will be
an additional $200 for Saturated
vs. Unsaturated fat additional $200 we cannot
do dietary fiber at this point.
Banned Steroidal Screen will cover all of
the listed steroids above, plus
all the non-anabolic prohormones (DHEA,
4-AD, 1-AD, etc.), except THG, and
the “Androstans” which are very
uncommon and undesirable (like DHT). The
androstans do not show up by UV detection
so cannot be performed with this
screen. NOTE: the Steroidal Screen will
be able to only go down to 1-5 mg/g
detection. Ask yourself and your clients,
is 1-5 mg detection low enough? Looking
for trace amounts (parts-per-million) of
anabolics would be very expensive, but would
it be worth it? Can an athlete test positive
having ingested, orally, tiny amounts of
these hormones? This would be of interest
to any tested athlete that wanted to test
a nutritional supplement for contamination
or compliance. This tests do not include
those designer steroids that may be available
today and not banned, but could make it
to the list once discovered e.g. THG.
